Dr. Úcar has devoted much of his career in systemic autoimmune diseases. In fact, the new chairman of the SER is one of the members who promoted the birth of the Working Group EAS-Being, dedicated to research and further knowledge of these types of rheumatic diseases. He has also done extensive research in this area, especially in Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), highlighting the work done on the management of diabetes during pregnancy or the study of comorbidities.
