Hi: Notice that the azimuth is measured positive in the direction of movement of the Sun, and negative to your exit. The reference is to the observer at a point overlooking the northern hemisphere south. From this axis are measured above the azimuth angles. To locate the Sun, we use the ws hour angle. The sun is at full height of his career (at noon solar time). From the imaginary line that marks the twelve hours I will measure the angle from vertical dicah, looking south, east, down to my left, and any position of the sun from sunrise to reach the top, will have a negative hour angle.
